TDS stuffs a little extra in the stockings of local charities

TDS added a little extra to the stockings of five local nonprofits in the St. George area this year.

TDS’s Field Cable Marketing Manager Brenda Cody said she had some money left in her budget and she decided she would distribute five $250 checks to the following local non-profits: American Legion Post #90, P.A.W.S. (Providing Animals With Support), The Learning

“How the individuals from these nonprofits serve the people of our community is inspiring,” said Cody. “I’m proud that TDS gives back to these organizations that make our community a better place to live.”

Hundreds of organizations throughout the country receive donations from TDS. From hands-on volunteering, to in-kind and financial support, TDS has a vested interest in the growth and success of the communities we serve.  It’s a TDS tradition to give back in the communities we serve, said Cody.

TDS also provide employees 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer. Last year, nearly 550 TDS employees took advantage of our “Be Good Citizens” program volunteering more than 1,600 hours. This week in St. George, six TDS employees volunteered their time to wrap presents for Coins for Kids at the Dixie Center.
