The call to help others has never been greater. Giving back is an integral part of the culture at TDS. From hands-on volunteering, to in-kind and financial support, TDS takes a vested interest in the growth and success of the communities we serve. In fact, community involvement is so imperative to our core beliefs that we started the “Be Good Citizens” program, which provides employees with 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer.

Roots for Kids: TDS was named the 2020 Outstanding Business of the Year by Root for Kids. Not only is Root for Kids an impressive nonprofit organization that provides services for children and families in need in Southern Utah, they are also a TDS customer.
“TDS has been a really strong partner with us through the years,” said Root for Kids CEO Suzanne Leonelli. “You are there for us every day and you step up and help us during times like we are experiencing right now. Thank you for being eager to donate the internet for our annual Radiothon, bring volunteers, and come to our rescue with a generous donation when we opened the emergency child care for first responders’ kids in April.”
Neighborhood Connection: “When COVID-19 hit and our nonprofit could no longer feed the kids on the weekends we thought what can we do to help people that are in so much need right now. We teamed up with Washington County to find families that had empty fridges and we set about trying to fill some of them. As soon as I mentioned this to TDS’ Brenda Cody she and TDS came to us with money to help us. This is typical of TDS and Brenda always looking for a way to serve our community. Mountain Post Santa’s Workshop: President April Barnett, noted that the main challenge this year was receiving enough toys to help those in need. “Fortunately, a new donor like TDS, reached out to our program and asked us “what we can do to help.’ We were extremely humbled to receive such support and be the recipient of their gracious generosity. Then to see their office go a step further by offering to host an angel tree and provide fliers to the Fort Carson community members we not only saw an increase of our program’s awareness, but helped us keep our mission alive.
