Gala celebrates 25 years at The Learning Center for Families

“The Learning Center for Families will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Our family is blessed with two amazing girls with Down syndrome and the Learning Center for Families was there from the beginning to provide knowledge, support and friendship to ensure the girls had what they needed to be successful.”

This is just one of many stories of how The Learning Center for Families has made a difference in the lives of others. Since 1993, TLC for Families has helped more than 15,000 vulnerable children throughout Washington County, Utah and the Arizona Strip.

To celebrate its 25th year of promoting the success of children, TDS is a proud to support TLC for Families 25th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the SunRiver Ballroom, 5 to 8 p.m. Join us for a special evening of dining, entertainment, and silent and live actions. Inspirational speaker and entertainer Thurl Bailey will be featured that night. In addition, TLC for Families will be unveiling its new name and logo at the gala.

Tickets are $75 per person or $550 for a table of eight. Click here for tickets or sponsorship information.

For the silent auction, TDS is donating a Golf Basket including ProV1 Golf Balls, TDS golf merchandise, and an 18-hole round of golf for four at Sky Mountain Golf Course. TLC for Families is this month’s charity that TDS is highlighting.

The Learning Center for Families is located at 2044 S. Mesa Palms Dr., St. George.

TLC for Families was started in Washington County to serve infants and toddlers with disabilities. In 1997, TLC began serving families in Colorado City and Centennial Park, Arizona. In 2002, TLC received a Early Head Start grant and served at the time 60 pregnant women and families with children ages birth to three.  As services grew, so did staff. In June 2011, TLC for Families moved their St. George site to a brand new location. In 2017, the Caterpillar Club House Development Center opened and in January of this year, a new music program called Sound Beginnings opened to TLC families.
