Green Monday: Top tech holiday gifts

While the name may seem like it has an environmental connotation, the green being referred to here is monetary.

Green Monday is a newer holiday, with its roots dating back 13 years ago when eBay coined the term to describe the busiest shopping day in December. As for why it’s the busiest day—Green Monday always falls on the last Monday of December with at least 10 days to Christmas. Of course, this is only important if the gift you purchased needs 10 business days to ship to you.

So, let this serve as your final holiday shopping reminder if you’d like to avoid the crowds and buy those last-second holiday gifts. In fact, here are the top tech holiday gifts worth checking out this year:

JBL Go 3

You can choose from five different colors for this ultra-compact speaker. So far, the amazon reviews have been nothing but positive for this new JBL release.

Lenovo Smart Clocklenovo.jpg

This smart clock comes stocked with Google Assistant, a four-inch touchscreen, and a speaker. You can customize the clock faces, set your morning routine, and it’s compatible with 30,000 different smart home devices. It even has a USB port to charge your phone while you sleep!

Amazon Echo

Perhaps one of the coolest features is the “Alexa Guard” feature, where you can get mobile alerts if your Echo device detects the sound of a smoke alarm or even glass breaking while you’re away.

Powerbeats Pro Wireless earphones

They include volume and track control on each earbud, voice capability, and auto play/pause controls. As for the best part? They’re compatible with both Android and iOS.

Kindle Paperwhitekindle.jpg

This new version is thinner, lighter, and now waterproof. You can choose from four colors and two different storage capacities. The built-in light is adjustable in case you’re reading during the morning or nighttime. You won’t have to worry about charging either—the battery lasts weeks.

Nintendo Switch

Switch.jpgWhile the highly coveted PS5 and Xbox Series X are still in high demand, the Nintendo Switch is a great option if you’re itching to still play video games this holiday season. The Switch can be plugged into a TV or taken on the go as a handheld console. It’s also the only console that comes with two controllers, so it’s ready to go for a Mario Kart showdown with your family member!
