St. George, Utah: where the desert comes alive

The TDS community of St. George, Utah, has much to offer.

St. George is home to perhaps the greatest concentration of natural wonders. Starting with Zion National Park—a rare place that simply can’t be captured by words or pictures. With hundreds of walks, hikes, and vistas, it consistently appears at the top of national park rankings. The park’s shuttle system provides friendly and easy access to both a wide array of activities back in town and the never-ending adventure waiting at the park.

The towering red rocks of Zion are majestic and so is nearby Snow Canyon State Park. Beauty often comes in contrast, and St. George is in a region of Utah called “Color Country“—with lush alpine mountains and shimmering crystal blue waters surrounding crimson rock. It’s tough to find another place matching this incredible variety so close to one another.

Built in the shadow of spectacular 1,500-foot red rock cliffs, the Tuacahn Amphitheater is located in nearby Ivins where classic favorites grace the stage. The arts are alive here.

“St. George, Utah, is a wonderfully unique location,” said TDS Regional Field Services Manager Tim Weese. “The amazing weather combined with its proximity to so many different forms of recreation are very desirable. I love that the city retains a certain small-town feeling and atmosphere despite its rapid growth in recent years. St. George and the surrounding areas are great places to visit, and when you do, you’ll definitely want to call it home!”
