Seven, yes seven, new channels are launching in various cable communities

TDS is bringing the Olympics, movies, comedy-drama series and adventures in the wild to you with the launch of eight new channels in our cable communities.  Check out these great new channels that are or will soon be part of your cable channel lineup.

Sundance TV
Showcasing today’s creative icons and the talent of tomorrow, TDS Telecom®  is pleased to announce that SundanceTV is now in most TDS cable markets.

Formerly known as the Sundance Channel, SundanceTV features the award-winning series Transparent, an American comedy-drama series that features actor Jeffrey Tambor. In addition, SundanceTV airs documentaries, Academy-Award winning films, independent feature films, short films, world cinema, reality series and news about the latest developments from each year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Fox Sports 2
Starting Oct. 17, Fox Sports 2 is being added to some of TDS’  cable markets. The channel features reruns of some of the news and analysis programs broadcast by Fox Sports 1. Sports programming includes UFC-related programs (Ultimate Fighting Championship), including UFC Unleashed and live UFC Fight Night events, and overflow coverage of events aired by Fox Sports 1, such as NASCAR and the UEFA Champions League. Limited coverage of the Australian Football League moved to Fox Sports 2 from Fox Soccer Plus, along with full coverage of the State of Origin series live from Australia’s Nine Network.

In St. George, you can find Ion on channel 19 and in Cedar City, you can find it on channel 16. This change affects both residential and business customers. Ion Television’s programming schedule features a number of popular TV shows, including “Saving Hope,” “Blue Bloods,” “Criminal Minds,” “Psych” and “Law & Order.”

Big Ten Network
The Big Ten Network has launched its network in St. George, Utah and Estes Park, Colorado in the Family Tier.  What’s on the Big Ten Network? Well there’s football and lots of it.

There’s “Big Ten Elite” and “The Journey.” One gives you the complete story about great football and basketball squads in the history of the conference and the other gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the teams.

There’s “Campus Eats” that highlights unique restaurants (with a few attractions thrown in for fun) found in different Big 10 communities (which, we’ll remind you, is actually 14 different cities since there are seven teams in the East Division and seven in the West).

There’s also shows about wrestlingbasketball, and female athletes.
