Congratulations to the Fort Stockton High School/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Fort Stockton for being chosen as 2021 recipients of $15,000 in grant money from the TDS Diversity, Equity & Inclusion STEM Community Fund. Several TDS associates partnered with these organizations to strengthen a community and break down obstacles for two young people to realize their career ambitions and dreams.

TDS will partner with the Fort Stockton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to create and distribute these renewable scholarships.

“This initiative categorically supports TDS’ commitment to diversity and its shared value of ‘Investing in People.’ These students may not have even considered the possibility of attending college until now,” said Jerry. “The scholarships will provide both encouragement and financial support to help recipients reach their full potential and a bright future.”

Jerry went on to say the scholarships are a meaningful contribution that will have a significant and powerful impact on the lives and successes of these students and the success of the community. “The return on investment is truly immeasurable.”

The students will receive their scholarships this week through a virtual awards ceremony.
