Alert! Email phishing scheme hitting inboxes

Phishing alert! Our fraud team is reporting a new round of phishing emails.

Like many phishing attempts, this email tries to scare customers into thinking their accounts will be deactivated, and it includes a link where you can “take action” to prevent the implied threat. An example of the email is below:

Dear Customer,

Your account is scheduled for deactivation and will be deleted in 30 days. This is because the security for your account are outdated, and you have opted not to update them for a very long time. We can no longer provide service to accounts that are outdated and unverified.

If no action is taken within the next 30 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection regulations.

To keep your account, please click here and update and verify it.
If you no longer wish to use your mail account, no action is required, and it will be deleted automatically after one month.

Kind Regards,

Mail Support Team
