Shark Week returns this Sunday, July 28

Shark Week, returns with bigger sharks and bigger bites on Sunday, July 28 on the Discovery Channel!

With more than 20 hours of shark programming, this fincredible lineup will deliver all-new groundbreaking shark stories revealing remarkable insights into the mysterious world of these magnificent creatures. Shark Week episodes will be available on TV Everywhere.

Here is the 2019 Shark Week Schedule (July 28 to Aug. 4):

Sunday, July 28, 8 p.m. (PT)
Expedition Unknown: Megalodon. The Megalodon was a 60-ton mega-shark that suddenly disappeared. Now paleontologists are using fossilized teeth to see why this monster shark went extinct.

Sunday, 9 p.m. (PT)
Host Rob Riggle and his celebrity pals on the ultimate guys trip. Shark Trip: Eat. Pray. Chum. follows Riggle as he tricks Adam DeVine, Anthony Anderson, Joel McHale, and Damon Wayans Jr. into coming along on a mini-vacation. Instead of rest and relaxation, Riggle plans to get his friends to swim in shark-infested waters.

Monday, 8 p.m. (PT)
Sharks of the Badlands: Greg Skomal teams up with Andy Casagrande and shark expert Kina Scollay in New Zealand to test the most exciting, cutting-edge new technology for shark detecting surveillance.

Monday, 9 p.m., (PT)
Legends of the Blue: Shark experts Brandon McMillan and Jimi Partington head back to Guadalupe Island to search for the largest great white shark in the world – Deep Blue.

Monday, 10 p.m.
The Sharks of Headstone Hell: In the middle of the South Pacific lies a tiny speck of land called Norfolk Island, the gathering spot of some of the largest tiger sharks on earth.

Tuesday 8 p.m. (PT)
Shark-Wrecked: Crash Landing: Follow a dangerous journey hosted by Paul de Gelder and James Glancy where the two jump out of aircraft at 3,500 feet to experience what it’s like to be stuck in the remote waters of Palau.  The men try to navigate the dangerous waters of the Pacific which is home to a multitude of sharks.

Tuesday, 9 p.m. (PT)
Laws of Jaws: Dangerous Waters: Hosts Paul de Gelder, Mike Dornellas, Nick Lebeouf, and Jamin Martinelli put themselves in harm’s way as they reenact five recent shark attacks to find out how things could have ended differently.

Tuesday, 10 p.m. (PT)
Air Jaws Strikes Back: Shark expert Chris Fallows leads a team of researchers into a newly discovered shark vs. seal battleground. Here a deadly game of life and death plays out in waist deep water. As the great whites stalk the seal colony, the seals have learned to team up and mount counter attacks against the predators.

Wednesday, 8 p.m. (PT)
Extinct or Alive: The Lost Shark: Wildlife biologist and animal tracker Forrest Galante embark on a mission to the Indian Ocean to search for the supposedly extinct Pondicherry shark.

Wednesday, 9 p.m. (PT)
For the first time in Shark Week history, Discovery will be unveiling an original movie with Capsized: Blood in the WaterThe film, which stars Josh Duhamel, shares the true story of an October 1982 shark encounter. When a yacht capsizes during a storm, the crew is forced to drift in the cold Atlantic waters for days as they await rescue. They also become targets to a group of tiger sharks throughout their harrowing ordeal.

Thursday, 8 p.m. (PT)
Return to Shark Island: Shark scientist Dr. Craig O’Connell sets out to answer whether the spike in shark attacks on this former island paradise is now the new normal. Why have Bull Sharks, rarely seen before 2011 on the populous west coast of the island, now apparently made it their home and hunting ground?

Thursday, 9 p.m. (PT)
Great White Kill Zone; Guadalupe: Guadalupe Island is a notorious hot spot for Great White sharks. Now, a team of experts led by Dr. Yannis Papastamatiou and Melissa Marquez, are setting out to record never before seen white shark hunting behaviors.

Monster Mako: Perfect Predator: The search for the largest Makos called Granders in the world.

Isle of Jaws: Blood Brothers: A team of shark explorers venture out to the Isle of Jaws, a remote island off the West Australian coast. Two great white shark males, believed to be brothers, are at the heart of an intriguing mystery — do these animals prefer to live and hunt with, a blood relative?

Andrew Mayne: Ghost Driver: Master illusionist, author, and inventor Andrew Mayne is going to attempt to create the first-of-its-kind SHARK SUIT to overcome the senses of a great white shark and make him invisible to the world’s most perfect predator.

I Was Prey: How victims of shark attacks fight through their attacks to reach safety.
