It’s that time of the year again—get ready for Puppy Bowl XIX! Premiering Sunday, Feb. 12, on Animal Planet, this three-hour matchup between Team Ruff and Team Fluff for the Lombarky trophy features over 100 shelter and rescue puppies from across the country.
At 1 p.m., ET, the Puppy Bowl XIX pre-game show will begin on Animal Planet and discovery+, giving audiences an inside look at the draft process, as well as interviews with coaches and the puppy players. Furthermore, audiences will get a sneak peek of the Kitty Halftime Show.
Then, at 2 p.m., ET, the fluffy footballers take the field! Puppy Bowl referee Dan Schachner will oversee the game, while sportscasters Steve Levy and Taylor Rooks add their play-by-play commentary.
During the game, one puppy player will be named the Most Valuable Puppy, while another will win the Underdog Award. “Pup Close and Personal” segments will share the backstories of some of the puppies, including some of the eleven special needs players in need of a forever home.
